Pre-School Day

9.00am Arrive at pre-school where the children self-register and carer signs in their child noting who will collect. Then a free-flow system operates throughout the day with adult-led activities linked to our theme of the week.
10.20am Show & Tell followed by Snack Time.
11.00am Story Time
11.15am Outside Play until
12.00pm Lunch / Home Time

After Lunch Time children who need to rest are offered a sleep in an adjoining room. The free-flow system continues throughout the afternoon until
2.30pm Snack Time
3.00pm Period of music, story, drama, etc.

Free-Flow

This system allows the children to move freely between the inside and outside areas where they are able to follow their own interests. Activities on offer include:

• Sand
• Water
• Computer and a range of ICT equipment
  
• Craft Activities such as glueing and painting
• Outdoor Toys such as ride-ons, climbing frame, digging area, play house, etc.
  
• Role Play
• Puppets
• Book Corner
• Drama
• Gardening, Recycling & Composting
• Cooking
• Trips to theatre, farm park, walks, etc.

Show & Tell

Children are encouraged to bring in items from home to show to peers during this time. It may be linked to our topic or a favourite toy. This is aimed to develop communication and personal social skills, additionally making strong home/pre-school links.
