Booking a Space

To secure your child's place, contact us for a visit and a chat.

You will need to submit a completed application form along with a start date.

Spaces fill quickly, especially for children aged 2 and under, so we advise you complete the process as quickly as possible.
Fees

Minimum Sessions

We recommend a minimum of two mornings a week to help your child settle at pre-school.
Settling In
-
Every child is different; some adjust quickly, while others need a gradual approach. We'll work with you to accommodate your child's needs.

Please say goodbye to your child and reassure them that you'll return later.
What to Pack in Your Child's Pre-School Bag
All children will need:

2x full changes of clothes, including socks

Sun hat
-
Waterproof coat
-
Water bottle
-
Packed lunch, if you haven't ordered a hot lunch.
Babies and some toddlers will also need:

Nappies and wipes
-
Bottom cream
-
Comforters
-
Milk bottles with formula or breast milk

Sleeping Arrangements

for our babies we have cots and over 12 months old we have fold-out beds,

We aim to replicate your child's home sleep routine.
Breastfeeding

While we will provide support, please plan for your child to have a day away from breastfeeding. Consider alternatives like bottle-feeding, expressing milk, or using a beaker. You can find more advice here.
Reusable Nappies

We welcome the use of reusable nappies and will follow your home routines.
What to Do If Your Child is Unwell
-
If you're unsure whether your child is well enough for pre-school, please contact us before bringing them in. You can also refer to the helpful NHS website Is my child too ill for school? - NHS for further information.

If your child has a sickness bug, they should stay at home for 48 hours after their last episode of sickness or diarrhoea.

If your child becomes unwell while at pre-school, we will call you to come and collect them.

We are able to administer medicine under your guidance, so please discuss any medication needs with us.
Food at Pre-School

We provide a healthy snack mid morning and mid afternoon at a cost of 20p per snack. You are welcome to provide your own but we ask that it is fruit/vegetable based and is not chocolate or crisps.

You can order hot lunches by sending us an email admin@stauntonpreschool.co.uk. These currently cost £2.

You are welcome to provide a healthy packed lunch for your child.
Toilet Facilities

We have child-sized toilets with training seats and potties and along with an accessible toilet.
Addressing Concerns

Please discuss any concerns with your child's keyworker and if necessary, contact the Manager.
